Handle quotes with speed

One round. Clear scope. Minimal back and forth.

Quotes can either keep a job moving or grind it to a halt. Every day you wait for a quote — or fail to act on one — is a day closer to an escalation, a complaint, or a bigger repair bill.

At Tapi, we treat quote handling like a race against time. The goal isn’t just to get the quote — it’s to move the decision forward as soon as you do. That means chasing up quickly, reviewing for clarity, and sending to the owner with a strong recommendation.

When you're requesting a quote:

  • Make sure the tradie knows exactly what to scope.
  • Ask for pricing, not just notes.
  • Confirm turnaround time so you can set expectations with the owner.

When you're receiving a quote:

  • Check for detail — vague quotes lead to cost blowouts.
  • Add clear context when forwarding (“This is to repair the leaking gutter above the front door. We recommend proceeding.”)
  • Move fast. A quote sitting in your inbox is a job that’s stalled.

And if a tradie can’t quote quickly, consider using someone else. The best trade partners understand that quoting is part of the job — not something they’ll “get to eventually.”

Fast, clear quoting means faster decisions, happier owners, and fewer jobs dragging on. Speed wins — every time.
